Pronghorn
★★★★★
This was my grandson Gunnar's very first big game hunt, and we were hunting pronghorn on cultivated fields of grain sorghum, using the Dominator call alongside a partial decoy. On opening day, we spotted a solitary buck right before legal shooting hours, but the terrain and nearby farmhouses made it tough to get him to stop for a shot. He wasn't running, just lazily walking without a care in the world. I got well ahead of him, ending up about 900 yards out in the direction he was traveling. He hung up when he noticed two smaller bucks nearby, so I pulled out the Dominator call and gave two short but loud snorts to get his attention, then raised our decoy. He started walking directly for us, closing to within 360 yards. I gave him two more snorts to keep him focused as he approached, and once he was in range, Gunnar closed the deal with his 6.5 Creedmoor. We're still waiting on the taxidermist for an official score, but a quick measure put both horns at 15.5" — not bad for a first kill. I'm sold on the Dominator call.

A huge congratulations to Hancock Outdoors Pro Staff member Josh Cooper on taking this incredible archery pronghorn buck during the 2026 Idaho season! Getting inside bow range on a mature buck with heavy cutters and deep hooks like that is no small feat, and we couldn't be prouder to have Josh representing the Hancock Outdoors team in the field.

Bruce Hancock · Opening Day Arizona Buck
Arizona
★★★★★
After waiting five years for an Arizona tag that normally takes fifteen to twenty-five years to draw, I made every second count in Unit 2C. On the September 4th opening day of the 2026 season, I tagged a mature buck green-scoring seventy-five inches with heavy fifteen-and-a-half-inch horns. The terrain was wide open, making a close stalk nearly impossible. He was guarding a hard-earned harem of eleven does and had no intention of leaving them to fight. I paired a decoy with challenge snorts and chuckles from the Dominator call to close the distance, but he was committed to pushing his does away. As he charged toward his herd to get them running, I hit the call with a sharp challenge snort. That sound cut through his focus, stopping him dead in his tracks to pose broadside at five hundred yards. That split-second hesitation gave me the clean shot I needed with my 6.5 Creedmoor, dropping him where he stood while the herd scattered.

Testimonials

“

Out of the seven in our party, we filled seven antelope tags — by using the Dominator game call. Every time we made loud antelope snorts, them darn antelope would slam on the brakes and stop cold in their tracks. Instead of impossible running shots, we had clean, standing-still shots. Your call really does work!

We headed out to call in some coyotes. We didn't call in a coyote — but we did manage to call in a cougar. He came to within 40 yards of us before we spooked him. If it will call big predator cats like that, everything else will respond to it as well.
